A map that works where nothing else does
KMap shows your own maps on an Android phone with no signal, no GPS, and no account. Everything stays on the device.
What it does
- Displays large scanned maps smoothly, fully offline.
- Shows which way you are facing using the phone's compass.
- Lets you leave notes, with photos, anywhere on the map.
- Searches place names printed on the map.
- Measures distances once you have set the map's scale.
- Backs everything up to a single file you control.
- Speaks English and French.
Bring your own map
No map is built into the app. You import your own, as a PDF or an image, and KMap prepares it on the phone for fast offline viewing. Nothing is uploaded while it does so.
KMap has no internet access. The Android
INTERNET permission is removed from the app at build time,
so neither the app nor any library in it can reach a network. It also
requests no permissions at all — no location, no camera, no storage.
Privacy
KMap collects nothing, transmits nothing, and contains no analytics or advertising. See the privacy policy for the detail.
